And just like that Spring Break is over. We didn’t go anywhere but it sure was special!! For the first time in 2 years and 9 months (when we moved to Spain) the Myerscough 16 were ALL together! It was so good for my soul!!! Pickleball at Corbetts, Top Golf, lots of time in Gigi’s pool and family dinners full of laughs. Grateful to have had this time with the people we love the most.
Sometimes this kid amazes me!!! She set a goal a few months back to complete a youth triathlon. She worked hard training (when she wasn’t in the pool) to make sure she was ready for the bike and swim. Today was the day. Hattie took 3rd place in the youth triathlon in Florence, Arizona and finished in just over 44 minutes. Super proud of this kid and how she always gives 110%!!
After 9 days she’s finally home! My sweet Bug just had the most amazing 8th grade class trip to Washington DC and New York City. So thankful for the chaperones that kept the parents back home up to date with all the fun they were having. Memories to last a lifetime!
We celebrated Bugs birthday with a family dinner at Gigi’s, and for the first time ever she had a swim party with friends. And of course we had our ice cream cone!
And the Courageous Ram award goes to Kiersten! Today was the 8th grade academic awards and on top of her Principals Award for academic excellence, 4.0 straight A’s, she was honored to be nominated by Mrs. Taylor, her WEB Instructor for the Courageous Ram award. It’s been a rough few years with lots of changes for this kid, but somehow she finds a way to end up on top. So proud of our, Bug.
Our sweet Hattie was so excited and honored to represent Cross Middle School at the Southern Arizona Honor Orchestra Festival today. She worked hard to learn her music and it showed. The day was made even better by the fan club that came to cheer her on. Well done, Hattiecakes!
This kids grinding!!! She gave me a run for my money today. She set a goal to do a mini triathlon this spring. She ran this weekend and did a 10:06 mile. Today she ran 1.5 in 15:00 flat. She wants to get down to a 9 minute mile. The 200 swim should be a piece of cake 😂
Followed it up with a cold plunge in the pool, which is 50 degrees. She did it for 3 min and then dragged me in for another 3!
Quick stop in the Wisconsin Dells and then on to Minnesota…again, no snow!
We had a great time catching up, playing games and eating hot dish!
