Gigi and I planned to make the long haul in two days, but things didn't end up working out that way. The girls were being super in the morning, so we were trucking right along. We stopped at had lunch and let them play in a McDonald's playland (ewww) and then we were off and running again. By late afternoon (4:30) Kiersten was getting pretty cranky...nevermind it was a good 2 hours past her naptime. So I climbed in the back seat and stroked her head...she finally fell asleep at 6!!! So we didn't stop for dinner until after 7. By then we were well into Ohio just west of Columbus and so there was no way we were stopping and getting in the car a second day. Mom and I decided it would be worth it to just get home....of course that was before we got stopped just east of Indy for over an hour where a semi-truck had taken out a guard rail. Kiersten screamed and screamed. I was in the backseat with her, and while the car was at a stand still I took her out of her seat and let her move around, of course it was nearing 11 pm and she was STILL awake! Needless to say she finally fell asleep about an hour out and we got home around 1 am ET and midnight central time. The important part of the story is that we made it. Safe and Sound we made it...and are enjoying being back in the midwest. I will try to get pictures and update more on the move and the house soon.
