Christmas in Illinois

Over the River and Through the woods…or the desert…same thing!!! But we managed to haul it back to Illinois to celebrate Christmas with Gigi, Papa, Matt and Cynthia. The weather was great, no snow and we had a lot of fun together. We always do!

Thanksgiving ‘23

What a relaxing turkey day! Kiersten helped Papa with some yard work. Mitch cooked us an excellent Turkey, and we crashed on the couch watching football. Got the tree up and ended the night watching the Santa Clause. We are thankful!

Kiersten is IMX

IMX (Extreme) was this weekend and Kiersten qualified for this big meet. When she saw the line-up she had second thoughts. She got sick on Wednesday, but she still showed up and gave it her all. Most of these races she had never swam, so it was good to get an idea of where she stands.  The 40 second drop in the 500 was exciting, she swam it last season. Looking forward to seeing how she keeps progressing! Way to hang tough, Bug.

Hattie is IMR

Miss Hattie qualified to swim IMR (Ready) this weekend and Boy was she READY!! Some of these races she swam in September and a few were from last year (100 backstroke). But she had amazing time drops!

She’s working so hard and it’s paying off. She had a great time with new teammates. And shes already setting goals for her next meet. Leah qualified for the meet as well. But she scratched her races…sick at home, in bed. It was a bummer seeing the empty lanes where she was supposed to be shining bright. There’s always next time!
