Fancy Feet

Back to school is rough, y’all! But these girls have hit the ground running. They’re bringing home good grades, racking up the AR points and working hard all around at just being decent people. They’re getting the chores done and jumping head first into all the activities...swim, tumbling, dance, piano! It was great for us to just be there together. Until the nice nail tech asked if they were my grandkids!!!

YDSC Dual

Well we kicked off the 19-20 swim season today. And for the first time I was officially the strokes and turn official...well, sort of, lol! I didn’t have my uniform, or my certification card. But I passed out 15 DQ’s and felt pretty confident with my view from the lifeguard chair. Too bad the view isn’t always that good! I saw some amazing team spirit and lots of good sportsmanship. Bug and Hattie had some solid swims while Leah enjoyed a birthday party with friends. It’s great to be a Gator!

Back to School 2019

Here we go 2019-2020! Leah is in 6th...last year of elementary. It’s so hard to believe. Her teacher from last year moved up to 6th Grade this year so we’re doing a repeat with Mrs. Jozwiak. Kiersten is starting 4th and getting going with percussion. This is her first year at Intermediate and she has Mrs. Stocks. She’s confident as ever and I know she’s going to have a great year. Hattie is in 2nd grade and is the third kid with Mrs. Hatayama. We love her! She’s nervous about a new school but I think she’ll adjust in no time. She has so many friends in her class it’s bound to be a great year. I’m starting my 2nd year at the Junior High and couldn’t be more excited.  Have a great year, ladies!

Future Dentist!

Today wasn’t nearly as exciting as yesterday. Leah had to have a tooth extracted and Bug got to assist! She’s wanted to be a dentist since she was 3. For the past two years our dentist said that Kiersten could shadow him whenever. She was definitely ready, and even kept the tooth as a souvenir. Bug has declared today the best day ever. Leah does not agree.

Last Hurrah!

We wrapped up our summer yesterday with a family fun day! Between flipping a rental house in June and being in Arizona for most of July the summer flew by. I felt like we didn’t get much quality time with daddy. So yesterday he played hooky. We went to lunch, bowling (I beat daddy round 2), putt-putt golf where Hattie was the sole hole-in-one and then Mister Softee. Peace out summer 2019...were ready for school! #thesearethedays

Jacksons Birthday!

This birthday looks so different than last year. Thankful that we had the opportunity to celebrate our little buddy last year on the Disney Dream. Hard to believe he’s 6! I remember the night he arrived. He came bursting into the world 3 weeks early and I was thrilled to get to the hospital to hold him. He’s the ONLY one of my nieces/nephews that I was able to do that!

Pray with me on Jackson’s Birthday that this will be the last birthday that he spends sick. Pray that he will never have to fight this disease or have another drop of chemo throughout his life. Pray that he is granted peace and healing, and can just be a kid and get into all sorts of mischief the way that kids do. My heart is celebrating you today, Buddy. Happy birthday!

Jackson Strong

Yesterday was such a great day! There aren’t adequate words to share how thankful we are for the love and support of all our family and friends. I know Matt and Cynthia are overwhelmed with gratitude for their community. What a wonderful outpouring of love at Arrowhead Campground yesterday. So grateful for the hard work of Sherri Sauder...she made this event a success with the help of Kevin Cindy Myerscough, Jeremy Myerscough and Rob Myerscough. So grateful to you all. It was fantastic to see family and friends, some I hadn’t seen in a few years. It made my heart happy to see all that blue...forever grateful!
