Doting Big Sisters

Right now everything seems to be about Hattie...so I want to take a minute to talk about big sisters and how proud I am of Leah and Kiersten. These two are just rolling with the punches. After Mitch and I spent 4 nights in the hospital I wasn't sure what I would come home to, but these Big Sisters couldn't be more excited about their new baby sister. Of course, I know that some jealousy will set in eventually and we will have ups and downs but so far it's been pretty smooth sailing. It probably helps that Gigi has been coming over to help, and took them to Charleston on Thursday. They got to go swimming at the Country Club and Papa ordered them Pizza for dinner (big surprise). They love going and staying at Gigi and Papa's house, such an adventure.

When we are home, they are always very curious about Hattie...where she is and what she is doing. Leah has been very curious about the breast feeding and the pumping. I try to answer her questions but she always has more. She wants to hold Hattie a lot. She isn't great at head support but we put her up against the arm rest on the couch and she does pretty good. She loves to give Hattie kisses and I know she is going to be a wonderful helper and Big Sister. I tease her constantly about changing dirty diapers and she says "No way, they are too stinky." And she gets a big kick and a case of the giggles when she hears Hattie passing gas. She will however be Mommy's helper. She likes to hand me clean diapers and burp cloths, etc.

Kiersten cracks me up. When Hattie is sleeping in the Pack-n-Play she peeks over the edge and will try to tickle her toes while saying "Gootchie, Gootchie, Goo" I don't use this phrase so I have no idea where she learned it, but it's funny. When she is in the bouncy seat, Kiersten makes sure that she can see her toys and constantly gives her kisses...even when she is sleeping and we are begging her not to wake the baby. She always wants to make sure that Hattie has her blanket and her stuffed animal. With each one of my girls, my mom has brought a stuffed animal to the hospital. Leah has a white bear, Kiersten has a white lamb, and Hattie has a white bunny rabbit. Well, Hattie's bunny has been named "Hopper" and Kiersten lets me know when Hattie needs her Hopper. I'm so proud of these two big sisters. I think it's super sweet when they won't go to bed without kissing baby Hattie good night. I hope they will continue to love on baby Hattie and be kind to one another because it's does my heart good.

One Week

Sweet Hattie is already 8 days old! That just flew by...and it probably didn't help that we spent 4 days in the hospital. Having her home has been so wonderful and I am totally, madly in love with this little girl. And when I see her big sisters loving on her my heart skips a beat. I never in a million years imagined that I would be the mother of 3 beautiful little princesses, but I am and it's awesome. Ask me again, when they are teenagers and I may be singing a different tune...I kid, I kid!

It was HARD to get Hattie to cooperate for this picture. She did NOT want to be on her tummy, then she spit up on the chair. I took what I could get and gave up. We will leave this kind of shot to the pros. Speaking of: A friend in Decatur emailed me that a newborn photographer in Bement was looking for a newborn baby girl to model for a free photo shoot. I sent Melissa Morris at Simply Baby (www.simplybabymm.com) an email and sure enough she chose Hattie to model. We went last night to her family farm and I know she got some beautiful shots. I can't wait to get the CD. But anyway, back to the one week update.

My girl is an amazing breast feeder. I don't know if it's just that the third time is a charm, or if she is just really good at it, but it's working for both of us. So far so good and no problems to report. She is at the breast for 20-25 minutes about every 3 hours and is spacing it out even more over night. Her absolute most favorite place to be is curled up on her daddy's chest. She likes to rest her head in the crook of his neck...I'm so lucky that my girls have such an amazing dad, and I love seeing him with his girls.

For the most part we are going down for the night around 10-10:30 and she is waking around 2-2:30, and then going back down until 6'ish...sweet sleep! So Mitch and I have been pretty happy with that, and enjoying the sleep that we are getting for the time being. We went back to the pediatrician for a weight check today and YAY!!! She was 8 lbs 11 oz, one ounce more than birth weight. Doctor looked her over a bit and asked me a handful of questions (we just saw her on Monday) and sent us on our way. We go back in 7 weeks for her 2 month well-child visit. First week has been great and I hope things continue on the right track.

Home, Sweet Home!

After four long days in the hospital, we were able to bring our sweet Hattie home. We were so anxious to get out of the hospital...and to get home. It took forever, but of course we wanted to be sure that Hattie was healthy and ready before we left. Her blood sugars stabilized over the last 24 hours, and on Monday we went to the pediatrician for a check-up. They gave her a clean bill of health. The hospital physician wanted us to talk to our doctor about her white blood cell counts, blood sugar, and anemia. Our doctor was a bit frustrated and said that the "hospital made her anemic with their heel pricks at every feeding." And that she would most likely recover just fine now that she wasn't being drained 10 times a day. I guess it's really common for babies in the NICU to get anemia with all the poking and prodding that they undergo. Also, they had heard some hip clicking and were worried about hip dysplasia...by Sunday they only heard it one out of three times and by Monday our doctor said there were no concerns. YAY!!!

So when we did arrive home on Sunday we had special someone's waiting on us. Gigi and Aunt Cynthia came with Leah, Kiersten, Macy and Colby. The girls were super excited to see Baby Hattie...Colby really wasn't that interested. Cynthia had told him her name was Hattie. He laughed and said "that's silly, that's what goes on your head." I just love him. Cynthia was dying to get her hands on her...I think she secretly wants another baby...I not-so-secretly want her to have another baby, Ha! It was a good first day home, and we are settling in nicely as a family of five.

Oh, and one more thing...Have you ever heard of Harlequin Color Change? Yeah, me neither, but Hattie has it. Scared me to death the first time I noticed it in the hospital. Mitch thought I was crazy, but after a few feedings he saw it too: It is when half of a baby's body becomes discolored during feeding. There was a clear line down the middle of Hattie's body where half was white, and half was bright red. It's not serious, and not concerning and disappears on it's own within a few minutes. I can't get a picture of it, because by the time she is done breastfeeding it's gone, but I will attach a trusty Google Image so you can see. The literature says that most parents don't even realize that their baby has it because A.) It can come and go so fast, and B.) often a new baby is fed in dim lighting. Our pediatrician thought it was interesting that I caught it so quickly, and wasn't concerned at all. She said if it starts lasting more than 20-30 minutes at a time then worry, but for now I think it's gone in three-four minutes or less and I am only really noticing it when she lays on her left side. What more can this baby throw at us??? Sweet Hattie is going to keep me on my toes!

Special Visitors

One of the nice things about being back closer to home, is having all our family and friends love and support. And we certainly felt it this week. A big thank you to my parents and Matt and Cynthia for keeping Leah and Kiersten for the 4+ days that Mitch and I have been at the hospital. Thanks to our dear friend, Ellen..she stayed at our place, looked after the dogs and brought me dinner in the hospital. And to all of our other friends and family that sent text and called to see how we are doing, we appreciate your prayers and know that they paid off.

For me personally, the best special visitors were big sisters Leah and Kiersten. Wow, they were excited and it was beyond adorable. Kiersten kept saying "Shhh, Gigi. You have to be quiet around the baby." and seeing them peeking into the bassinet just made my heart melt. I will never forget the look on Leah's face as I pulled off Hattie's little cap and showed her the head full of brown hair. Leah's eyes lit up and said "She has brown hair just like me!" It was priceless. Leah doesn't quite get it yet, but Hattie is her mini-me...or at least that's what Mitch and I both think.

Mom had brought lunch for the girls and Mitch. After they were finished eating, the girls got a special treat. Aunt Lori and Uncle Todd had sent flowers. They came with two coloring books and crayons and Leah announced that she was going to color pictures for Baby Hattie. She sat at the table and colored 3 pictures. She was so eager to show Hattie her drawings. After that we tried to sit and get some sister/sibling pictures. Leah was super thrilled to hold her baby sister and you can see the joy on her face. The first meeting with the girls went better than I could have imagined. Even Kiersten was excited. Mom said that back in Charleston Kiersten kept talking about how she has a new sister and Baby Hattie. I hope they still like her after a few days at home :) These three will be thick as thieves, best friends and more...I'm excited to see what the future holds. Daddy, on the other hand, has his shotgun ready, ha ha!

I've Got No Strings...

I've got no strings,
To hold me down,
To make me fret, or make me frown.
I had strings,
But now I'm free,
There are no strings on me.

My poor sweet Hattie has had a rough go of it. About 8 hours after her traumatic birth her blood sugars had plummeted to a level the pediatrician was uncomfortable with, so they hooked her up to an IV and started running lots of test. Over the course of the past 3 days, she has had to have her heel pricked and her blood sugars drawn before EVERY feeding.

Finally last night, they decided that her levels had stabalized enough to remove the IV. We were so excited! Stable levels meant that if her levels maintained we would soon be on our way home. I couldn't help but sing the song from Pinocchio..."There are no strings on me."  when she was finally free. It's so nice to not have to worry about getting her caught on every little thing and her IV pulling and causing her pain.

Right away this morning she went to see the pediatrician and the report came back that she was good to go. Of course it helps that we have a pediatrician appointment at 8:15 AM tomorrow morning. Doctor said baby looks "perfect" and we can take her home. Of course we already knew that. So anxious to get her home, and see my two other sweet girls after 4 long nights at the St. Mary's Hospital Bed and Breakfast!!!

All's Well That Ends Well

Mitch and I had known for some time when our precious third little one would be arriving. We scheduled the induction at our appointment on June 11th, but elected to keep the date to ourselves. We like the element of surprise and of course didn't want anyone to worry without reason. We knew that it would most likely be a lengthy process. At my appointment on June 18th, the doctor said I was 1.5 cm dilated and 50 effaced, but my cervix was still high and firm. But progress is progress, and we were ready to give a second VBAC a shot. We checked into St. Mary's around 2:00 PM on Wednesday June 20th. Dr. Morisetty thought that he would be at the hospital between 4 and 5 to get things started, but he got held up at his office and made it to St. Mary's around 6:30. At 6:40 we were getting started. The plan was to use the foley bulb induction method again, since I had had a successful VBAC with Kiersten that way. By 6:45 PM the bulb was in place and the clock started.

Things started off very smoothly, for the first few hours I was comfortable and up walking the halls, but it didn't take long for the contractions to kick in. Shortly after midnight they started getting really uncomfortable. The plan was to give me a dose of nubain/stadol so I could get some sleep, but nubain is apparently in the midst of a worldwide shortage, who knew, right? So, no nubain for me. Instead they offered me Dilaudid. I took it orally around 1 AM, but after an hour had no relief. So around 2 AM they gave it to me in my IV. Again, I didn't have much luck with it but it took the edge off just enough that I was able to rest between contractions which were 5-6 minutes apart and lasting 60-80 seconds.

Around 6:45 AM, the nurse came in to remove my foley bulb...sweet relief!!! When they checked me I was between 3-4 cm and had my bloody show, YAY!!! Even more progress and the pitocin was started. At this point, it was time to get back up on my feet. I wanted to keep the contractions coming, afterall the goal was to have a baby. We walked and walked...and around 10:30 contractions were about 3 minutes apart. At 11:30'ish Mitch had gone to get some lunch, I was laying in bed and had just taken another dose of Dilaudid. I heard a pop, but couldn't figure out what it was...I asked the nurse if my water could have broke, even though I wasn't leaking and she said no. The Dilaudid was doing nothing for the pain, she checked me and I was at 5 cm, and a few minutes later the gushing began...my water had in fact broken. It wasn't too much longer before I couldn't take it anymore and I had to get the epidural. While I was waiting for the anesthesiologist I started to get sick to my stomach. Been there done that before...it happened during my labor with Kiersten too. Mitch held back my hair as I was sick over and over again. In a matter of minutes the epidural was in place and I was getting some relief. By now it was around 12:30 and I hadn't slept yet. Thankfully, the epidural gave me enough relief that I was able to sleep for a few hours. Occasionally I would wake up and get sick to my stomach. Mostly, just had dry heaves since I hadn't eaten anything but Mitch was wonderful holding back my hair and holding the bed pan. Around 4 PM a med student came in and asked if I would allow him to be present for the birth...as I was getting sick with him in the room he asked if I had gotten any anti-nausea meds. WHAT??? This was an option??? The nurse checked my progress and I was almost at a 7, she went and got my anti-nausea meds and again sweet relief in an instant!!! I laid down and slept some more.

Right around 5 PM I woke up and told Mitch I was feeling some pressure, that I needed to have a bowel movement and was certainly feeling the contractions. He called in the nurse to ask about a booster for my epidural, she called the anesthesiologist and while we were waiting she checked me and said "Oh my gosh, you are at a 9, I'm going to call the doctor." The anesthesiologist came in and I voiced my concerns about getting more drugs at 9 cm, and not being able to feel enough to push. She reassured me that I would be fine and issued the drugs. Nurses started moving in and out of my room, and by 5:30 I needed to push. As the shift change occurred my new nurse, Caitlyn who had been my nurse the night before came in and said Dr. Morisetty was stuck in a C-Section across town at DMH so to hold tight. So for the next 90 MINUTES, I fought the urge to push, I was shaking uncontrollably and contractions were on top of each other. Mitch was starting to panic (he later told me) but kept it together quite nicely. Dr. Morisetty came in at 6:50 and by 6:54 PM said he wanted the baby out in the next 5-6 minutes. What followed was the easiest dream of a delivery I could have imagined. I had no pain, I talked and joked with my nurses and doctors...I pushed when he said to and paused when he said to. The baby's heart rate looked great and he took his time manually stretching me to prevent tears. After a few more pushes, our baby was born 24 hours and 25 minutes after we started, at 7:10 PM with the cord wrapped around her neck. Things quickly went down hill from there.

As they put her on my chest it was obvious she was purple and limp. They rushed her over to the newborn monitoring area and began working on her. I started to cry. They called for more help to resuscitate her...and I began to panic. Mitch again, kept it all together. As they worked on her, we watched and waited. Her heart was beating but she wasn't moving or breathing on her own. They put the oxygen on her, and worked on her vigorously...she was probably 4 minutes old before we knew if she was a girl or boy, and 4 minutes old before things started to turn around. It was easily the scariest moment(s) of my life. I never in a million years imagined that things could go from so good to so bad, so quickly. And I was praying like I had never prayed before while I watched the nurses work on my child. There are no words for the emotion that washed over my body and the relief I felt when they finally put her in my arms. It was traumatic...for all of us. We did Kangaroo Care as soon as we could, they wanted us to have skin on skin contact to warm her up and I happily obliged. In the end, everything worked out but I had not prepared myself for the forks in the road. Seeing her struggle put things in perspective quickly. The trauma that she endured at birth have caused a few minor problems. Her blood sugars were elevated due to the shock to her system. As they monitored them into the night the pediatrician decided she would have to be hooked up to a glucose IV. We have to test her Blood Sugars before every feeding, Her white blood cell counts were out of whack but have stabilized, and they did a blood culture to check for infection...thankfully it was negative.

She has made great improvements over the course of the last 24 hours, and couldn't be doing any better. With any luck, and lots of prayers the IV will be out in the next few hours and we should be able to go home tomorrow. She is breastfeeding with ease, and I am lucky that she likes to eat. And really she is a content and happy baby girl. I'm so grateful to the staff that helped get us to the point we are at today.  St. Mary's has been a wonderful birthing experience overall, and I am so anxious and excited to get our baby girl home where she belongs. Our beautiful family is complete. Our sibling set of three girls makes me whole. "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." ~Ecclesiastes 4:12

Making the Most of It

It's just about that time to add another little one to our family. The past few weeks I have been trying to cherish every little baby kick, every little episode of hiccups because I know the end is near. I'm well past 39 weeks now, and getting so anxious to meet this little one that I am already totally and completely in love with. I'm so eager to find out if this is a little brother or sister for my two sweet girls whose lives are about to be turned upside down. Sometimes I think that they are almost as excited as I am, but don't fully grasp what is about to happen. We've been reading lots of books...a favorite it the Berenstein Bears - New Baby. And Leah asks lots of questions about how the baby is going to get out, so we have a book for that too! Both the girls have been enjoying looking through their baby albums, at pictures of them as newborns. They love to see pictures of them in the bath, on trips, and with other family members. It's sweet and makes me wish that they weren't growing up so fast. But as for this new arrival, we are ready...as ready as we can be.

We are also trying to spend time doing more special things with the girls. Friday night we took them out to dinner...which we NEVER do. We went to Olive Garden. Gigi takes us there sometimes and the girls love the salad and macaroni and cheese. Sunday we went swimming at Mattoon Country Club. Yesterday Mitch got up and made pancakes for breakfast with the girls. They LOVE to cook with daddy, and he makes special PINK pancakes that they think are just the bees knees. They love to add ingredients to the bowl and stir and do a good job taking turns. I gave them pedicures, resulting in some pretty purple toes. These are all things that we did with Leah before Kiersten came and so I thought it would be nice to make it a "tradition" so someday they can see these pictures in the baby book. Yesterday afternoon my mom came for lunch. After Leah was picked up from VBS Mitch ran through the Dairy Queen drive-thru and got the girls another favorite for lunch...hot dogs, YES, hot dogs. After lunch they kissed my belly and snuggled the new baby. We took a picture for the last time as a family of four. Mom loaded up the girls and took them to Charleston and Mitch and I headed to St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Yes, I am in labor...TO BE CONTINUED!!!

SKY VBS

My LeeLee is just growing up too fast! This week she has been enjoying Vacation Bible School at our church, St. Paul's Lutheran. I'm so happy that she has something to do this week, and even happier that she is enjoying it! Girl is super excited to get up and moving in the morning!!! The theme is "SKY" so everyday they have different "SKY" characters. There has been a Bat, a Pilot, an Eagle and even a Pig with wings...For when Pigs fly, I'm assuming. The church is decorated so nice and both the girls love pointing out all the different decorations. There is a particularly spectacular hot air balloon in the lobby of the church, it's in one of the pictures with Leah standing near by. Every day Leah comes home with artwork matching the theme and a story or two of all the fun she is having. It helps too that she is seeing familiar faces. Poor girl, has been so bored since preschool ended. There are 2 little friends from school that she sees there. Plus, Taryn our babysitter is volunteering. Every morning at drop off and pick-up at noon, Leah AND Kiersten have to get their hugs in with Taryn. I'm sad that VBS only lasts one week. Now I will be in search of our next adventure.

Happy Father's Day!

There is nothing more beautiful to me than seeing my husband holding our children and I'm excited about the fact that in a week (give or take) I will see him holding the final addition to our family. We are almost complete, and I hope he knows how amazing his contributions to our family are. He is an awesome husband, friend and father. The girls are so lucky to have him and they know it, me too. They BOTH are Daddy's girl...I originally had hoped that since Leah was such a Daddy's girl, that Kiersten would be a mommy's girl  but no such luck. They are so smitten with him. At least once a week they cry in the morning because they didn't want their Daddy to be gone to work in the morning. In the afternoon they count down until he gets home, and they love helping him in the garden. So for Father's Day we got him so accessories to go along with their garden hobby. Our garden doubled in size this year. We have green beans, corn, carrots, zucchini, acorn squash, butternut squash, asparagus, brussel sprouts, spinach, sweet peppers, banana peppers, a array of cucumbers, some herbs, watermelon and canteloupe...oh, and several variety of tomatoes. I think that about covers it. Daddy has some plans to do some canning with all our fantastic produce so we got him a canning guide/recipe book and a canning kit. A couple of dress shirts for work too, but that's boring.

Of course, I have to add this little tid bit...First thing this morning I remided Kiersten that it was Father's Day. She went down the hall and said "Happy Father's Day for Uncle Matt." I had to laugh, she had recalled me putting a card in the mail to him is all I can think would prompt her to say that. I told her she needed to say Happy Father's Day to her Daddy. She said "OH, Happy Father's Day Daddy!" It was so funny. I made Daddy one of his favorites for lunch, bisquits with homemade sausage gravy and then we headed to Mattoon Country Club for a few hours relaxing and cooling off at the pool. Mitch and I were able to finish off the night with a date out for Indian Food. YUM! Thanks for babysitting, Ellen. Anyway, we sure do love our Daddy and hope he had a VERY Happy Father's Day!

Tadpoles and Pikes

Last week the girls started swim lessons at the YMCA! To say they were excited would be an understatement. They love the water, and wasted no time jumping right in. Kiersten is in the Tadpoles class, which mean that a parent has to swim with her. Obviously it is Mitch. I'm not into swim lessons right now being 39 weeks pregnant and all. She is the youngest in her class, but seems to be the most comfortable in the water. I'm not really surprised. After our trip to the Dells this past April, it was pretty clear she had no fear when it came to the water. She would get in and out, jump up and put her head under with out any hesitation. Leah is a little more apprehensive. It's good that she is with a teacher. She did a good job, listening and following instructions. They did a lot of floating on their tummies, floating on their backs, and practicing their kicking.

This past Thursday I was having some serious Mommy guilt. We haven't been doing a whole lot this summer with me being HUGE. I decided to venture to the pool with the girls and was lucky enough that my mom was willing to join me. We went to Mattoon Country Club, and the girls couldn't wait. They were so good while we were there. Kiersten of course was jumping right in. Leah on the other hand took a while to warm up. She wanted to be held the entire time. But it didn't take long for her to find some bravery when some "big girls" were around. There were two young teen girls who kept encouraging her to kick and paddle on her own, and she loved swimming back and forth to them. It was great to see her find a little courage. When we went to swim lessons this week they were even more comfortable than the time before and I think by the end they will both be like a fish in water.

PINK, PINK, PINK

We were counting down the days for weeks for PINKALICOUS! Ever since Gigi took us to see Pinkalicious on Broadway in Chicago, it has been one of the girls favorite books. We have the soundtrack that we listen to in the car and the Macy and Leah even got "couture" Pinkalicious American Girl Doll dresses. We took Gigi to see the "Wizard of Oz" in March at the Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan and saw that they would be doing Pinkalicious this summer and knew that we had to get tickets. Actually mom got tickets to all 3 of the Children's summer shows but this was the big kick-off for the season. All three of the girls put on their best pink dresses, and even Colby wore a pink polo shirt. He wanted no part of the girl picture before the show, but I was fortunate enough to snap one of him and Kiersten inside.

The kids loved the show, yes...even Colby. Kiersten and Leah were singing along to a few parts. After the show we waited patiently outside and got Pinkalicious to autograph our program. Gigi bought some pink cupcakes for a special treat and then we headed to Wyman Park for lunch. It's a great park right next to Sullivan Community Center where Mitch had his triathlon. I had packed some pringles, grapes, carrots and juice boxes and Mom and Cynthia ran through McDonald's drive through and grabbed some chicken nuggets and burgers. We enjoyed a beautiful picnic and some playtime in the park followed by the delicious pink cupcakes...to which the kids replied "Just one more???" Thank you for such a fun time, Gigi. We can't wait to go see "How I Became a Pirate" in July and "The Princess and the Frog" in August.

The Potty Pro

I don't mean to brag but my girl is super smart!!! And for some of you this post may be a little bit too much information...after all, it is about potty training. But I have to share. Shortly after Kiersten's 2nd birthday in March we pulled out our little princess potty to start getting her used to the idea. Occasionally, between diaper changes we would encourage her to sit on the potty and what not, but never really pushed potty training on her. I just felt like we were on the go too much. I figured we would start sticking closer to home the closer my due date got and we would give it a go then. May 17th was Leah's final day of preschool for the year. It seemed like as good a time as any, so on May 18th we woke up and went for it. I decided that I was going to put her in summer dresses with nothing on the bottom, that way it would be simple for her starting out. I had no idea it would be SOOO simple. She didn't have any accidents that day. Having Bowel Movements was a little tricky and she was scared at first and would want her diaper on, but we stayed in the bathroom and persevered through it. Of course the sensation was a bit overwhelming for her and she would come and go to the bathroom 4 or 5 times before actually going, but it was a work in progress and she quickly figured it out.

On Saturday I showed her some of the Elmo underpants that Gigi got her for her birthday and explained that we didn't want to "pee-pee on Elmo" and I think she got it. She kept saying all day long "I no pee-pee on Elmo." and she didn't! I couldn't believe it. Furthermore over the course of the next few days, when I would try to put her in a diaper to run errands or for her nap she would cry and scream "I don't want a baby diaper, I want my Elmo's." So she decided she was done and we went with it. After four days accident free I took her to the store and told her she could pick out new underpants...of course she wanted Dora, and Minnie Mouse and Tinkerbell but finally decided that Tinkerbell was the way to go. Now she looks at her underpants every morning and tells me who she ISN'T going to pee-pee on....whatever works. Way to go Bug!

Colby's Par-TEE!

Wow, I'm seeing a bit of a theme in my posting today...can you say "GOLF FAMILY". Today is my nephew Colby's 3rd birthday. I love that little squirt. He is a handful and then some but he makes me laugh. He has become an avid golfer...well, for 3 anyway. Matt plays with him in the yard at home and takes him to the club often and of course he got a set from Gigi and Papa for his birthday too! So golf seemed like the logical choice. Cynthia did a great job getting all the party decor items on Etsy and I just love his little golf shirt and hat combo. Too Cute! The cupcakes were adorable, with flag pins that had the #3 on them and little pearl "golf balls" on the green icing. It was all so adorable. And not a theme that you see used for little boys too often. The party was on Sunday afternoon at Sister City Park in Charleston. It was a gorgeous day for the kids to play at the park. A few of his little pre-school friends were there and lots of family. Tiffany came with Parker and Brooklyn. Tara came with Jameson and Liam. David and Sanya were there with Amelia and Ryan...what fun, and always good to see all of them. We had a great time and hope that our favorite little golfer did too!
