The Great Outdoors

Doing what we love most in Arizona...enjoying the great outdoors!!! We went to the Desert Museum with Gigi. We hadn’t been there in a few years. It was lovely to see all the cactus blooming. The hummingbird garden was pretty limited but it was a great day anyway...the bighorns were active so that was fun.

And then Mitch and I snuck away for a hike in Catalina State Park. The views always take my breath away. Can’t wait to get back out there this summer and see some more.

Goodbye, Tom Watson Dr.

After 23 years driving up and down that hill, Gigi and Papa are saying goodbye to our beloved Tucson house!!! I can still remember when Papa called home in the spring of 1998 and told Gigi he bought a house...errr, or a lot and was building a house. She thought he was nuts but over the years we’ve made so many wonderful memories.  They are upgrading to a bigger place with a pool and a hot tub and room for our families to continue to grow. But it’s always hard to say goodbye.

Birthday traditions

Kiersten’s birthday was on a Monday! The girls had a swim meet in Canton so we decided to let them skip swim...and of course we headed to Dairy Queen for our ice cream cone. It’s official...all three girls have had a covid birthday. But we haven’t let it damper our spirits. Kiersten is living her best life these days. New Chuck Taylors, Baby Blue Beats headphone and her first taste of the much anticipated Boba Tea. Love this girl!!!

Kiersten is sus

Among us is all the rage with the kids these days. Kiersten informed me recently that she’s always the yellow guy with a sprout on top of the head. So when planning her birthday party I knew just what to do!

We have a great little place in Decatur called “Paint with Liz”. In these crazy covid times it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get her friends together for some birthday fun. They got to paint a project and then have birthday cake and treats. Afterwards Kiersten had Bea and Ariel from the swim team over for a slumber party.

I absolutely adored the cookies I had made by Sara Foreman...they’re so darn good and the kids loved them too!
