And just like that...she's 5!

How did this happen?!?! I swear it was just yesterday we were leaving the hospital with our third and final baby girl. But somehow, she went and turned 5 on me. She's more and more independent each day, she doesn't miss a beat with her sisters and she's adamant that she's ready for Kindergarten despite my insistence that she should really just stay home with me for another year.

We didn't do too much as far as celebrations. We had a cookout at our house this past Saturday. The Weber's and the Larson's came. Wanasa Zhou, one of Aunt Laura's golfers was here playing in the Symetra tour. She got Hattie some Trolls headphones. On the day of her actual birthday, we did donuts for breakfast. When daddy got home from work we opened some gifts and then of course we had the traditional birthday ice cream cone from Dairy Queen. She got lots of fun gifts. Her Wellie Wishers doll, Camille, a Pinkie Pie, an iPad, a new back pack and pajamas. I think it's safe to say she had a fun day. I couldn't imagine our lives without our sweet Hattiecakes!

My Hula Baby

Oh the cuteness! It's almost too much how much she makes my heart smile. Miss Hattie had a wonderful time dancing with Miss Carrie this year. She had so many friends in her class. And all of these sweet little girls on stage was just the best. They danced to Elvis Presley's Rock-a-Hula and when they shook their little back sides I couldn't help but laugh. And everyone of them blowing a kiss was just too much.

Hattie got spoiled by a few of our favorite big girl dancers, neighbor Ashlyn, and babysitter Morgan. My girls are so lucky to have so many that love on them day in and out. Can't believe that she will be 5 soon. Looking forward to lots of more years of watching her dance.

All she wants to do is dance!

And that's a wrap on the 2017 dance recital! This girl has come so far. She's been going back and forth on whether or not she wants to dance next year and I sincerely hope that she does. Not to be a stage mom, but she's a beautiful dancer. And her teacher tells all the other girls to watch her. Because she knows what she's doing! Mt. Zion is kind of known for show choir...and it's pretty easy to see that it's probably in her future! She's always singing and dancing all over the place.

This year she did two performances, the first was her ballet routine, Ballerina Girl. And the second was a pretty jazzy rendition of Cruella DeVille. If she sticks with dance, next year we will add jazz into the mix. She was pretty excited that Gigi came to watch her dance. She got flowers, of course, and then we took the girls out for ice cream!

McRylee's Farm

We had a quick trip to Minnesota at the beginning of the month to celebrate Rylee's graduation from High School. I was actually in Las Vegas for the Plexus Convention. I flew into Minneapolis and Mitch and the girls picked me up. We decided that while we were there we may as well spend some time having a little fun. We went to the Mall of America and checked out Lego Land, the Disney Store and of course the Aquarium. The girls are at an age now where they can actually read the information and learn about the sea creatures. Of course they love the touch exhibits too!

After the mall, we headed to dinner. We all enjoyed some sushi and green tea ice cream! Then we headed the two hours west to Montevideo. Shelby was making cupcakes for the graduation party. The girls had a great time helping. They looked like little pigs! Saturday afternoon we went to the graduation party and later that night we went out to McRylee's farm. The girls get so excited to see all the animals. This year Rylee has calves. They fell in love with Clementine and her great big eyes.
On Sunday morning we hit the road back to Illinois. I told you it was a quick trip!
