2nd Grade Spring Concert

Wow! Mrs. Sill really did amazing with this show! The concert was a patriotic theme and I won't even lie...I cried more than once. They sang God Bless the USA and I couldn't stop myself. Throughout the show different students came forward with speaking parts and quotes from past presidents. Our sweet girl was chosen to lead the auditorium in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. And she nailed it! She said her line, and then asked everyone to please rise. She paused perfectly and led the room with so much confidence. I wish I could say she gets that from me. So proud of my girl and how far she has come in 2nd grade. She's made more friends and has absolutely loved being with Mrs. Hatayama this year. Looking forward to many more concerts with this kid!

Kindergarten Spring Concert

Hattie had her first elementary school concert this week. The theme was the Barnyard Hullabaloo. They did a fantastic job and Mrs. Sill always does such a wonderful job of putting the show together. Each class represented a different animal. Ms. Perry's class was the cow and Hattie even had a special part playing the cow bell. Super proud of this kid and the excellent year she has had!

S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y

After a second weekend of working on the landscaping, we needed a break. Kiersten had a birthday party to go to at the DISC so we decided Donnie's for Pizza would hit the spot. Imagine our suprise when Ellen joined us and we were ALL wearing Arizona Wildcats gear. Bear Down! Coach Steve sent a picture of Kiersten tackling the rock climbing wall. She was nervous about it but did great and Hattie is always happy as long as she gets to go to a restaurant!

After we got home they were excited to set up camp in the basement. They stayed down there all night and on Sunday morning I actually had to go down and get them to remind them to come up for breakfast. Amazing how much better they get along when a tent is involved!

DIY outdoor edition

We have been busy the last two weekends!!! And fortunately for Leah, she was gone BOTH weekends. First she was at the Dell's with Ella and then at Lake Shelbyville for Landon's birthday. The little and the middle didn't get off as easy. We made them work! We spent the better halof two weekends shoveling glacier rock and tearing out the deck. It was hard work but we got it done. I promised them I would buy them the movie the Greatest Showman and take them to Krave. I love cheap labor. We've contracted out getting a stone paver patio in the backyard. I can't wait for it to be done!!!
