Farkle!

You can’t visit Grandma Tootie without playing farkle. Personally I like it just fine at a table with regular dice but grandma has yard dice at the lake so these guys were eager to give it a go! Surprise, surprise...Grandma won.

Floating, Tubing and S’mores

Lake life is suiting us just fine! Yesterday after the rest of the family all headed out we parked the pontoon in the middle of the lake and did a little floating. The water was perfect. And we love that even Grandma and Grandpa joined in the fun. Afterwards Kiersten and Leah did a little tubing. Hattie got dumped from the tube last year so she’s been very reluctant to go back out. We did convince her to give it another go today. She didn’t last long but she did it, so grandpa rewarded her with letting her drive the boat.

The girls enjoyed some time down at the beach today, too. This was a moment I really enjoyed. Sometimes, when no one is watching, they can be so kind to one another. They played together for an hour...just digging in the sand and being kids. The sunset for our last night did not disappoint and of course there we’re s’mores!

Schultz Family

Since we were all at the lake this weekend it seemed like a great chance to update the Schultz family pictures. Lisa brought her camera and we all cleaned up nice!

Celebration!

It rained a little on Saturday but we didn’t let it interrupt the fun. There was still plenty of fishing and boating happening. Aunt Lisa and Aunt Lori always have fun games for the kids to play. It’s hard to use the word kids since they’re all grown up, minus our three. Aunt Lori had a fun Pictionary/telephone game we played and Aunt Lisa has them bobbing for bubblegum on paper plates full of whipped cream! Leah finally caught a bass...first one of the trip! Saturday evening we celebrated Lexi’s high school graduation, Justin’s college graduation and Rylee finishing nursing school. Lisa has a fun slide show with great pictures. And of course we enjoyed a campfire!

Lobster Lake

We left Barnes and headed to Alexandria, Minnesota to Lobster Lake to join Mitchs family for a few days. The girls love spending time here with their grandparents and it’s even more special when the rest of the family comes too. I think we’ve all been able to get there three years in a row. The girls wasted no time getting out on the Pontoon and casting their lines. Leah was thrilled to start driving the boat a little bit this time. While Kiersten and Hattie quickly made their way down to the beach to play in the sand. It’ll be another wonderful few days by the lake for this crew!
