One year!!! That’s how long it had been since our team had competed against another team in the pool. Sure we’ve competed virtually...swimming against our teammates in our own pool, but it’s just not the same. It doesn’t push you like another team, different competition. This weekend we went to Effingham and these kids showed up with some big time drops. It was so exciting to watch all our Gators give it their all. Kiersten dropped time in every event but one, she killed it with her breast, fly and especially her IM. Leah had some fantastic drops...most exciting in the 200 IM, 100 fly and 100 breast. Even Hattie had a drop in her 25 back...it’s time for little Miss Hattiecakes to step up and swim some 50’s. It was a great weekend. I’m proud of all these kids for not giving up and thankful to the coaches and officials that make it possible for them to keep going.
