Pearl Harbor

On our last day in Hawaii, we visited Pearl Harbor…a time to reflect on our history and honor those who served.

Surfer Girls

I’ve got to brag on Mitch for just a minute!!! Every girl should be this lucky!!! He plans and organizes and makes all their dreams come true. He remembers the details and doesn’t miss a beat…right down to prescription goggles for snorkeling so they can SEE IT ALL!!

He was so patient with the girls helping them learn to snorkel. Yesterday morning he got up and moving early to get them boogie boards for the beach. He walked and got us DoorDash lunch from a local restaurant, and when he walked back on the beach, to our surprise, he rented a surfboard. Then he spent the next two hours (at least) in the water helping them learn how to surf. Not surprising, they were up riding waves in no time. Core Christmas Memory, one they’ll never forget with their dear Dad!

Manoa Falls

Took a hike this morning to Manoa falls. It drizzled rain on us all the way up, but the trees provided shelter for most of it. The views were breathtaking and we loved every minute of it. Even the chicken…who crossed the road! #whydidthechickencrosstheroad

The Luau

We visited the Polynesian Cultural Center yesterday and had a wonderful time! The very fist exhibit we visited had us in tears with laughter…the Nafa drums in Tonga. Leah and Hattie got dragged into participating in the Māori weapons training. And Kap in Samoa was brilliant. He climbed a coconut tree and played with fire with teaching us about the Samoan culture. We’re looking forward to seeing him in the live auction Moana film next year. The girls were smiling BIG at the Luau and loved the Pina Colada pineapple drinks. Making lots of memories in Oahu!
