1st Concert

 So take the photographs and still frames in your mind…

Crazy how life can come full circle. Last night I got to see Smashing Pumpkins and Green Day sing the songs of my youth, and the girls were right there screaming the lyrics beside me!! It’s hard to believe that they were celebrating the 20 year anniversary of American Idiot and 30 years since Dookie. I’m not that old!!

For a first concert, they saw a phenomenal show. Hattie was fan-girling hard for Green Day. Kiersten was so pumped to see Smashing Pumpkins but was shocked at how much she loved Green Day. And there was a lot to love about this show. Grateful for the memories made. Oh yeah, Mitch was there too! 

Happy Birthday, Mitch!

 Happy Birthday to the rock of our family. When God made girl-dads, he broke the mold with Mitch. He’s their cheerleader, their voice of reason, their soft place to fall. He’s shown them the world and makes sure all their dreams come true. Even today, on his birthday, he worked a swim meet and gave guidance…because that’s what a great dad does. At least there was cheesecake!! 

Happy birthday, Mitch…my best friend and partner for life. Love and hugs always!
