Zippin’

Yesterday we did a zip lining tour through the rainforest. It was terrifying and amazing at the same time…because I don’t like heights 🤣🤣 We saw lots of squirrel monkeys and really enjoyed it. Pictures to come…then we cleaned up for a sunset dinner on the terrace. One of the highlights of this trip has been seeing all three girls practice and utilize their Spanish. It’s been the best seeing the faces of the Costa Ricans when Kiersten, especially, starts speaking. They do a double take and several have complimented her on her accent. Leah has done really well, and Hattie too. She needs to build more confidence. I guess that means we need to plan more trips to Spanish speaking countries…

And pictures of what we ate, because why not?? Casado is their traditional dish of rice and beans, plátanos, chicken/pork and a salad. The red snapper was good and there was pizza all over too!

Sunsets over Quepos

Our first night in Quepos we walked to the beach near our Hostel to check out the sunset. Our last night in Quepos we had dinner reservations with a view!

Quepos

We love a good beach day! And the owner of our hostel, Villa Jaquelinas sent us to Buena Vista Plus. It’s all fun and games until someone gets stung by a jellyfish.

Sloths Territory

Another great day in the rain forest. We booked the  Sloth’s Territory excursion months ago and it was better than we could have imagined. Our guide, Edson, was phenomenal in sharing details about the plants and animals in their natural habitat. He said on average people can view 3-4 sloths on a tour. We saw 5, and were fortunate to find one having a midnight snack!! We saw two different breeds of monkeys, a couple lizards, birds, and the highlight for Kiersten was the poison dart frog and the glass frog. Edson had a scope that we used to get these images and some of the videos. Love making these memories with the girls!
