Year 14 is starting off on the right foot!!! We sang Happy Birthday over breakfast, and the girls enjoyed Ensaimada Rellena! After school we had our traditional birthday ice cream. She came home to a mountain of cards and gifts from family and friends. We were especially moved by the package from the Jr High that had cards/gifts from teachers and an added bonus of a few notes from friends. She was holding I together really well at first but that box with letters from friends got the tears falling. She requested Lasagna for dinner and closed out the day with a FaceTime call with a few friends from home. Ella, Eleanor and Makenna were called to the principals office so they could have a proper catch up.
I was so excited about her gift. Mi hija le gusta jugar aljedrez. When we were in Greece she kept checking out the carved sets. So I found one here in Spain, from an Olive tree. It’s beautiful and she loved it. Her heart is happy…so my heart is happy! Happy #14 Leah!!!
