The Royal Alcázars of Sevilla is a royal palace in Sevilla, Spain, built for the Christian king Peter of Castile, built by Castilian Christians in the 700’s. The fortress was destroyed after the Christian conquest of Sevilla in the 1100’s and rebuilt.
The palace is so different with Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance design. The palace is still occupied by the royal family when they visit Sevilla…you had to go through extra security for that part and there was a line so we passed 🫣It was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Not gonna lie, Mitch and I pretty much knew what it was because of Game of Thrones. It’s the backdrop for the country Dorne!! The gardens were gorgeous!
