Cardinal Nation

 

This should not be new information to any one that follows my blog, but I LOVE Cardinal's baseball. Always have, always will! Mitch and I have been fortunate to go to a handful of games with a few more left on the calendar. And we have certainly enjoyed having friends along. The Cardinals are having a stellar season. In first place in our division, up by two games with the best record in MLB AND the best on the road record. We have 4 or 5 players with batting averages in the 300's and three Cardinals are in the top five batting averages for MLB...Yadi, Craig and Carpenter. Things are looking good...really good.

We were fortunate to be able to go down on July 5th and stay the night while we took in some of the fourth of July festivities. Mitch's folks came to town and stayed with the girls. The game on the 6th was HOT but we brought home a win against Miami so I was happy. Then again on July 24th, we headed down and got a hotel room because on the 25th Mitch was flying out to Utah. Tracy and Jason came and met us in St. Louis and then we went to the game. They are almost as big of fans as we are! And Mitch and Jason work together and have gotten to be good friends. It was a great win against the Phillies. The pitcher, Westbrook, even stole a base. That NEVER happens. Anyway, looking forward to what the next few weeks bring and as always...definitely looking forward to the post season!
