Grandparents Day 2015

This week the Mt. Zion Schools are celebrating Grandparents day. Fortunately for us, my girls appointed Grandparents days fell on the same day. So on Tuesday Gigi and Papa made the drive over to Mt. Zion so they could visit the girls classrooms.

Leah was up first. She is at a new school this year, Mt. Zion Grade. They started in the gym where Mr. Gruen (the principal) gave a quick speech and they the grandparents were escorted to the appropriate classroom. Leah's teacher, Mrs. Hatayama, had quite a turnout. When I walked by it was standing room only. Mrs. Hatayama had an activity for them to do in the classroom and then Leah took them around the school on a scavenger hunt. They were able to bring Leah home with them so she didn't have to ride the bus. She thought that was pretty great.

Later that evening, McGaughey Elementary was hosting Kindergarten Grandparents Night. I was actually volunteering at the schools. They started in the cafeteria where I was able to snap a picture of all three of them. Then they were off to Mrs. Reatherfords class. Kiersten had a great time showing them her room. I think she loved doing the photo booth...and I love that Gigi and Papa were good sports. Then she toured the school with them and showed them where she does art, music and library before we called it a night. My girls are super blessed to be able to spend this time with my parents.
