Our last night in Venice we were TIRED! We FaceTimed our grandparents from a quiet bridge overlooking the Venice Canals to give them a glimpse of the breathtaking views. Then we went back to our apartment and had dinner. Mitch really wanted to see the city at night so out we went. We saw the Rialto Bridge and then moved on to St. Marks Basilica plaza. It was a bit of a bust, not as lit up as we would have liked but there was a wonderful little orchestra ensemble playing. We listed to them play “All you need is love” by the Beatles before moving on. By then end of the night we hit 16.5 miles. Venice was worth every step. The next morning we hopped on the train to Rome!
