Giardini Napoleonico

I love a good park. I could have spent hours roaming the parks and sitting to watch it all pass by in London, so why should Venice be any different. Kiersten and I spotted all the green when we were on the boat around the island. I knew we had to go.

At the entrance there was an old statue but upon further inspection there was water at the base. We saw so many turtles swimming and climbing up on rocks to soak up the sun. We lost count at 40. There were also a few big carp! Hattie loved the turtles and had fun using her Spanish talking about “los tortugas”.

We kept on walking and the girls played on the playground for a bit. Hatties a sucker for a swing and the older two likes the rock climbing wall. Near the end of the park we enjoyed some artwork, sculptures that could be seen from out on the water. It was one of the few quiet green spaces on the island.
