Anytime you talk about Madrid your hear “el Museo del Prado” mentioned, so of course we had to go. Sometimes museums have a hard time keeping the girls attention. But they were excited about this one. A big thanks to their tutor Eugenia for telling them about Velazquez and “Las Meninas”. Hattie couldn’t wait to see it. It’s a picture of Infanta Margarita with her maid servants “las meninas”. The museum also featured art by Rembrandt and Goya. A wonderful collection of art history.
The museum was our last stop in Madrid. Once we finished we took the metro back to Coslada and hopped in the van. It was also the end of our tour de España with Ellen and Amy. We dropped them at their hotel, gave lots of hugs and said our goodbyes and headed home.
