Busy Weekend!

Grandpa Dave and Grandma Tootie came to visit us this weekend and see our new house, and boy did we have fun! Thursday night we showed them the new house and played in the yard. Friday morning we were up and at'em early. Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to Scovill Zoo while I went to the Y. Then we met for lunch at Arby's. After that they went shopping. The little ones got donuts and Grandma bought all sorts of ingredients for making chocolate chip cookies. Their cookies are the best. A double batch? Yes, please! The girls had so much fun measuring and pouring and especially tasting.

Friday night we had a marshmallow roast in the backyard...Can't beat that! Saturday morning Grandma made Chocolate Chip muffins with the girls. And then they went fishing. Mitch said the fishing wasn't great. We may have to find a different spot down here, or drive back up to our old one. Saturday was spent with bubble guns and a new rocking horse and then Saturday night Mitch and I got to have a date night. Sunday morning they loaded up the car and headed back to Minnesota. Hattie woke up from her nap yesterday and this morning yelling "Grandpa!" I think it's safe to say they had a great time.
