At the Hop!

This weekend the girls went to their first Father Daughter Dance hosted by the Mt. Zion Community Club. It was a 50's theme. Belive it or not, I actually bough two poodle skirt costumes a few months back on clearance for Halloween costumes. So we busted one out for Kiersten to use. But I was at a loss for what to have Leah wear. I was going to do rolled up jeans, a button down shirt with her Converse All-Stars. When we went to Von Maur shopping we saw this dress..actually she found a dozen dresses she wanted to try. But to me the polka dots were the clear winner. She tried it on and loved it, so we were set!

They were so excited getting ready to go. They are blessed with such a wonderful dad that does these things with them. Mitch said they had a great time at the event. They ran around and played with friends, they enjoyed cookies and punch and even danced with dad a time or two. Don't feel too bad for little sister. While she was sad that she didn't get to go to the dance, she got to enjoy a mom and tot date to Krave for frozen yogurt. She was very happy...and soon enough, her time will come!
