Aunt Lori visits!

It’s been almost 7 years since Aunt Lori visited the Land of Lincoln. A lot has changed since then. We moved to Mt. Zion. Hattie learned to walk and talk...you get the idea.

We wanted to find something fun to do! We took her to St. Louis and Amish Country for her last visit. Springfield seemed like the obvious choice. We decided on the Abraham Lincoln Museum. But also, we can’t go to Springfield without Freddy’s! It was a hit, we knew it would be. But we were all
Surprised at how well done the Museum was. It was very impressive. Even the girls enjoyed it. Of course they’ve been there before. The theaters were awesome. We weren’t prepared for 4D. And we were lucky to be there to see the visiting WWII exhibit.

When we were done at the museum we went and saw Lincoln’s home, but didn’t go in. It was a gorgeous day and was nice just to walk around and tour a bit of history. Back home there was lots of playing outside and playing cards. The girls were introduced to War and Cheat! They already can’t wait to see her in July!
