The Arch-Round 1

We had company last weekend so we took the opportunity to get out and show them things we love about the midwest! Mitch's sister, Lori and her two daughters Shelby and Lexi arrived on Thursday afternoon. We love seeing family, and are so happy that since our move we are provided with more and more opportunities to see them. We started things off slow, just sticking around home on Thursday. Mitch made a great dinner...burgers on the grill, corn on the cob and it tasted so good. We took things easy in preparation for the weekend ahead.

Friday morning we were up and out of the house at a decent time. Lexi had a book and was playing the license plate game the entire trip. We arrived in St. Louis around 11. and went into the parking garage where Shelby (who was doing a Harry Potter Marathon-trying to watch 7 movies in 2 days) pointed out that there were a lot of Missouri license plates...we love you Shelby ;) We lunched at the St. Louis Bread Company (AKA Panera). and then walked our way down to the Jefferson National Expansion Museum. The Arch is amazing, but until you have stood next to it, you can't imagine how BIG and beautiful it is. The girls and Daddy laid in the grass looking up at it. Kiersten ran around in the space between and we took lots of pictures...To be continued.
