Sunday in the City

So I haven’t written much lately about our efforts to relocate to Spain. Let’s just say it’s been an incredibly wild ride. So many lows for us this past month…and I don’t want to go into details just yet. But let’s just start with… we had to get passports…AGAIN!!!

Nearly two weeks of waiting and it was finally time to head to Chicago. Our appointment was Monday at 11am so we decided it would be best to head up on Sunday after church. The last time the girls were in Chicago Leah was 3 and Kiersten was 1. We visited American Girl and saw Pinkalicious on Broadway. Hattie wasn’t even a thought yet. So a trip North was overdue. I wish the circumstances had been a little different but it is what it is.

With Covid numbers on the rise all over the country we decided it would be best to stick to outdoor activities. We walked to Michigan Ave from our hotel and then kept on going to Navy Pier. The weather was beautiful. The girls enjoyed the sights, a fun ride and some mochi before we headed back to our hotel for some dinner (Thai and Sushi) along with some Euchre.
