Pumpkin Fun

In this house, pumpkins are definitely Daddy's gig! He has carved pumpkins with the girls every other year so why should this year be any different. And this year he even weathered the pumpkin patch with them on his own...of course that means there aren't many pictures but I will take what I can get. We were so busy this fall we couldn't get to the pumpkin patch until the 27th and the temperature was not favorable for having Hattie out and about, so Mitch took Leah and Kiersten on his own. They didn't seem to mind and were excited all the same.

Cleaning out pumpkins was another story. It took them a while to get into it but once they did they thought it was super fun. I had to remind Leah not to fling the pumpkin pulp all over the kitchen. Kiersten took much longer to come around, but she did and had fun too! Aunt Lori, Uncle Todd and cousins sent the girls felt pumpkin decorating kits so while Daddy got busy with the carving, they got busy with some decorating of their own. They were so excited about their "Witch" pumpkins. We even had to take them to Gigi's house when we went on Halloween so the trick-or-treaters could see them.

And when Daddy was done with the pumpkin they were even more excited. We picked out a simple Monster design, since they are such big fans of the movie Monsters, Inc. and we wanted something different and more fun than the traditional jack-o-lantern. They couldn't decide if it was Sully or Mike Wyszowski...but after he was lit up, it didn't matter. Love, Love, Love pumpkin fun with Daddy!
