Throwback Thursday: Father's Day & 4th of July!

One thing about Leah has remained consistent since the day she was born. She is a daddy's girl...not just a little bit, a FULL FLEDGED DADDY'S GIRL. Seriously, it's like I'm chopped liver. But that's okay. I love that she loves her daddy and I hope that is something she holds onto as she grows older. For Daddy's first Father's Day we kept it low-key...It was actually when Aunt Lori, Shelby and Lexi were visiting. I had ordered a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake to celebrate and gotten Daddy a few new shirts...Exciting stuff, right?!?! He could have cared less, I think he was just super happy to be with his girl!

Gigi HAD to come out for another visit the end of June. She came in on June 29th and left July 3rd. She brought a cute little 4th of July outfit with her! You probably saw this outfit 4 months back with Hattie wore it for her 1st 4th of July. We love hand-me-downs around here! We still didn't know many people in Jersey. So we were very happy that our neighbors Mike and Julie invited them to their place for a 4th of July cookout. They were the most amazing neighbors. They looked after the dogs while we were in the hospital. And always helped out when we were home for the holidays. They helped us celebrate a lot of Leah's first milestones. They were surrogate Grand-parents. They STILL send the girls little gifts for holidays and birthday's...what amazing neighbors, we miss them very much. But anyway, it was a HOT HOT Day, but the food and the company were top notch.

And just because these pictures are too cute not to share...Leah had her 1 month pictures done at Target. I know, not the BEST for photography plans, but it worked out well. The manager there actually did an amazing job shooting my baby girl so we returned a number of times while we lived in Jersey.
