Justin's Graduation

This past weekend our nephew, Justin graduated from Grand Rapids High School up in Minnesota. So we got in the car and made the 11 hour drive. Thankfully we were able to stop halfway at Grandma Fran's on Friday night. We finished the drive on Saturday and were able to bring her along.
Justin is such a good kid. Really, he probably thinks we don't notice but he is so good with the girls. Always playing with them, teasing them and giving them piggy back rides...which is there favorite. The weather was dreary and cold on Saturday for the party but that didn't stop us from celebrating. And of course Sunday was just beautiful! The kids had so much fun playing outside. The high light was probably the pinata. Which Leah kept calling it a Peeyada. Kiersten must have had everyone taking turns swinging her. Justin would toss the ball to her while she swang and she would kick it away. Justin would put Leah in the fishing boat and she played Jake and the Never Land pirates.
And of course the girls were more than happy to cuddle and snuggle Hattie all day long! Mitch enjoyed spending time with all of his family. He played Badminton with the kids. One of them got the Birdie stuck in the Tree so Mitch threw a football up at it. The birdie came down but the Football stayed up. There was lots of time around the campfire and even a little bit of fishing. One of the highlights was sitting at the campfire late Sunday night, just the two of us and Justin. He really opens up when there aren't many people around and we had a good talk. Love our nieces and nephew, just wish we got to see them more. Congrats Justin. Good Luck in your next endeavor...college!
