The weather this weekend was HOT, but we knew we needed to head into the city one last time before we return home. The girls thought about the places they wanted to re-visit. It was a no-brainer that we needed to start our last day in the city in the same spot that we visited our first day in the city...Mercado Colon. It seemed like no time at all had passed since we tried our first horchata and leche merengada, but at the same time, so much time had passed. We grew so much in our year abroad. It was fun to go back to where it all began. The girls even wanted to walk by our old apartment.
Over the course of the year, the city had finished the construction at the Placa de Reina, so it was nice to walk and see it all opened up before we depart. We went by the Central Mercat and the Catedral de Valencia as well. We walked through the shopping district and much to Mitch's dismay we stopped and did a little shopping at Bershka, H&M and Mango Teen. The girls were thrilled to get a Boba Tea that they sipped while we walked through Ajuntamiento. It was a good day for us to just be together enjoying a city that we have grown to love so much! We're already counting down to our return in December.
