What a day!!! We started at the famous Széchenyi thermal bath and it was Ah.mazing!!! One pool was at 32 degrees (Celsius) and the other was at 38…that was my fave! We had a great time and give it two thumbs up.
Tone of the pools was set up like a lazy river. The girls enjoyed it for quite a while, I stayed where it was nice and warm. It was interesting to see so many locals. There were older gentlemen playing chess on the stairs. If you ever visit Budapest, definitely put this place on your list.
Afterwards we walked to a nearby park and had a wonderful lunch. We tried traditional Hungarian Langos. It’s a fried bread with toppings similar to a pizza but it’s covered with sour cream instead of tomato sauce. I tried mine with ham and arugula. The girls were big fans. On our walk after lunch we found some amazing architecture. It reminded us of Harry Potter and Hogwarts.
