Cocoa and Cookies with Claus

Last night we did Cocoa and Cookies with Claus at the Children's Museum. This is going to be an annual tradition for the next few years to come. The kids love it! The Hunts joined us and Matt and Cynthia came with Macy and Colby too! This year was more relaxed...there were no groups and no rotating through stations. It was more or less a free for all. I have so many wonderful pictures that I will have to split it up in to multiple posts. But I have to get to our visits with Santa! I was a little bit worried that the girls would be to shy to go up and talk to him, but I couldn't have been more wrong. They showed no fear. Leah was the first one to approach him. She wasted no time and hopped right into his lap. She told him she wanted a Cinderella Vanity and a Dream Lite and some Barbie stuff. Last year Kiersten wanted nothing to do with the man in red, but this year she couldn't wait. She climbed right up and talked to him for a few minutes before telling him that she wants a Princess Castle and Barbie Stuff. It was adorable and she had to give him and Mrs. Claus a "snuggle" before saying good-bye.

Shortly after our visits with Santa we moved into the Cafe area. The kids get to decorate their own Sugar Cookie treat and get a cup of cocoa...complete with marshmallows, of course. They loved decorating their own cookies, what kid wouldn't. I got them each a cup of cocoa but they couldn't be bothered to drink it...they wanted to get back into the museum to play. Why didn't I think of that?!?!? It was a total success...more to come!
