Day 5, Zion National Park, Emerald Pools and More
After we finished up the Riverwalk we headed to the Emerald Pools. It has 3 different destinations, but we only made it to the first 2. There was just no way that the girls were going to last that long. I was telling Mitch that if they had been more conditioned for hiking or a little bit older it would have been much easier. Like I said, We'll be back! Emerald Pools was a much more difficult hike. You were actually going UP the side of a mountain or maybe a hill...I don't know, where as the Riverwalk is a flat trail along the river. It was definitely gorgeous, and someday I'm going to see the rest of it.
On our way out of the park we saw some Mountain Goat friends. They were just walking along the side of the road...no big deal. And then we stoppped for a selfie at the Checkerboard wall before exiting the park. It was HOT, we had walked a lot, but the girls did absolutely great!
We headed to Page, Arizona next to prepare for the next day at the Grand Canyon! We couldn't wait for a shower. Needless to say, after all the hiking in the river and up the mountain...these three girls left a dirt ring around the tub. Sure sign of a good time, right?!?!
