Christmas in Prague…it doesn’t get much better than that! It filled us with the Christmas spirit.
It was after midnight when we arrived at our hotel in Prague, but we still got up early and got to it. Our hotel was perfect, in the heart of Prague. The streets were lined with shops all decorated for the holiday. They were brick pavers straight out of a Hallmark movie! It took us no time at all to get to Old Town Square. The views of Church of our lady of Tyn, the Old Town Hall and St. Nicolas Cathedral. The decorations, the trees, the horse drawn carriages…it was all fantastic!
First up we toured the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, Church of Our Lady before Týn, is a Gothic church and a dominant feature of the Old Town of Prague, Czech Republic. It has been the main church of this part of the city since the 14th century. While we were there we quickly decided that we needed to see the Christmas concert they were hosting that night. There was one on Christmas Eve too.
As we toured this beautiful place I was awestruck by all the details and the gold. The organ was amazing! And just our luck we were going to hear it played that evening.
