First Family Visit!

We’ve been waiting for this day since Gigi and Papa booked their trip in early September. They are our first visitors here in Spain and we had a long list of things we wanted to do together. A few weeks before their arrival we started making plans.

The day they arrived we knew they would be tired! We picked them up at the airport. We stopped for a quick lunch in Betera at Coffee and Food Island. They got to try Ibérica Jamón and Croquetas! And then we headed to the house. Papa fell asleep in the car and kept on sleeping once we got to the house.

Wednesday night the girls were pretty happy to see Gigi and Papa. But they had Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from school so we kept our normal routine with swim and music.

Thursday morning the girls headed to school. Gigi and Papa took their time getting going. Papa went for a walk around the neighborhood. I drove them around and showed them the girls schools and our first one in Colinas San Antonio. Then we headed to El Osito. We did a little shopping. We got plenty of Turrón and Christmas sweets for them to take home. I showed them the ibérica pig legs hanging in the market along with all the fresh seafood.

Thursday night we had tickets for Les Llumes De Vivers in Jardin Reial in downtown Valencia. The garden is decorated with lots of Christmas lights and displays, with some music. It was beautiful, and now I want to see the park in the daylight. Afterwards we had dinner reservations at a little restaurant. Gigi and Papa got to try traditional Spanish paella. It was fun, but a late night!!! The girls finally got to bed around 11:45!!!
