We returned home from Barcelona today exhausted but happy. What an experience! We had so much fun seeing the sight and playing Yahtzee every night. Papa and Kiersten played some card games too…he accused her of cheating, a LOT!
After we got home we celebrated an early Christmas. The girls opened a few gifts from Gigi and Papa and got their stockings. Mitch made us a wonderful Cioppino, seafood stew, for dinner. And then we surprised Papa with an early Birthday celebration.
With Horno Pastelería a few miles up the road we had to do it. I ordered his favorite lemon meringue pie and the neighbors graciously accepted it for us. It was probably the most beautiful pie I’ve ever seen…and it tasted pretty amazing too! The girls sang Happy Birthday to him in Spanish and it was the perfect way to wrap up a week filled with love and joy.
